Choose to stop (Välj att sluta) is a confidential and anonymous helpline offering advice, information and support to help you stop being violent and abusive to your partner or ex-partner.
The service is run and managed by The County Administrative Board of Stockholm and Manscentrum Stockholm (a crisis centre for men) in collaboration with The County Administrative Board of Skåne.
We are a team of skilled professionals offering advice, information and support to domestic violence perpetrators, as well as to their (ex) partners and frontline workers.
The service is available to people living in Stockholm county and Skåne county.

Opening hours during the holiday
Choose to stop (Välj att sluta) will be closed week 28-31 (July 6 to July 31, 2020). We listen to our answering machine even when we have closed and will call you within a maximum of five days of leaving a message. We call from a hidden number. You can also call 1177 or search for other guides at 1177.se (in Swedish).
If you need emergency help and there is a danger to someone's life, call 112.
A voicemail service is available: we aim to return calls within two working days. We aim to reply to emails within two working days.
We invest in telephone interpreting service to enable those whose first language isn’t Swedish to access our helpline. Simply ask for a telephone interpreter when you call us – or ask someone you know or work with to ask us for a telephone interpreter of the language they need.
